Raj Dalal

Raj is a medical student in the Feinberg Class of 2024​. He earned his BA in Biochemistry & Cell Biology and a minor in Medical Humanities at Rice University in 2020. At Rice, Raj regularly volunteered in Ben Taub Hospital, where he provided social resources to patients that were uninsured, homeless, and undocumented immigrants. Raj's experiences with this patient population sparked his interest in learning more about the healthcare system from a structural level in order to support marginalized patient populations. This interest was further reinforced for Raj after he participated in a service-learning trip that investigated the racial disparities in maternal mortality rates in Texas. In his free time, Raj enjoys playing basketball and tennis, traveling, trying out new recipes, cheering on the Dallas Cowboys, and spending time with loved ones.
