Melissa Bak is a medical student in the Feinberg Class of 2024. She grew up in Reno, Nevada, and she graduated from Northwestern University in 2020 with a BA in neuroscience. At Northwestern, Melissa helped spearhead initiatives for a new medical service organization, Nous Fe, which partnered with a nonprofit, Angel Wings International, to provide medical services in Jacmel, Haiti. Her global health studies in France ignited her passion for health equity work, and she is excited to join Second Opinions and play a proactive role in alleviating health disparities. In her free time, Melissa loves to dance, ski, and spend time outdoors. She is also an avid baker and huge foodie, and she aspires to one day open up her own bakery.
