Olivia Goodman

Olivia was born and raised in Los Angeles before attending UC Berkeley for her undergraduate education. She graduated in 2020 with degrees in Integrative Biology and Public Health. Working in advocacy and patient care with the unhoused community in Berkeley while completing Public Health coursework sparked a passion in improving access to equitable care and investing in upstream health interventions. After graduating she conducted infectious disease surveillance research for the California Emerging Infections Program in the Bay Area and contributed to COVID-19 population health research for the CDC. As a medical student at the Kaiser Permanente Bernard J Tyson School of medicine, Olivia has continued these pursuits through research and quality improvement projects related to housing access, hepatitis C screening, health insurance for undocumented communities, and blood pressure control.
