Andrew Furman
Andrew Furman is a medical student in the Northwestern Feinberg School of Medicine Class of 2020. Andrew received his B.A. from Cornell University’s College of Arts & Sciences in 2014. After graduation, he moved to Boston to work in a functional genomics lab at The Dana-Farber Cancer Institute, where he used CRISPR-Cas9 genome editing technology to study prospective oncogenes. Interested in exploring the business side of the biomedical industry, Andrew then became a research assistant at RA Capital Management, a crossover fund dedicated to evidence-based investing in healthcare and life science companies. Outside of class, Andrew is a volunteer financial literacy teacher for Junior Achievement and enjoys playing tennis and sailing out on lake Michigan.
